Yes, they are. The majority of our employees are from the Amish or plain community, both in the shop and within our on-site crews.

We do! We’d love to have you out to see our pool houses, pavilions, outdoor kitchens, and garages on display. Plus you can see many of the building options in person, which makes it so much easier to pick! You can come visit any time between 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM EST Monday through Friday or book a one-on-one tour of our showroom here.

Our New Holland location is our headquarters, though we have several dealers throughout the Mid-Atlantic who sell our pool houses and other structures. Please contact ashley@homesteadstructures.com to find out if we have a dealer in your area.

Yes, we do! Once we have discussed your project, our reps are happy to come and tour your site and share material samples so we can work together to build the best outdoor structure for you.

We ship our building kits across the continental United States. However, when it comes to building and installing your custom structure, our field teams tend to travel throughout the Mid Atlantic and East Coast regions, including but not limited to Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, DC, Virginia, Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island. We’ve also built projects in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.

Planning & Design

Since Homestead Structures builds custom buildings, the options you can choose when customizing your new pool house, pavilion, or pergola are almost limitless and depend on the type of structure you are getting. The most common customization options to choose from are:

  •   Siding material and color
  •  Roofing material and color
  •  Door and window placement
  • Number of doors and windows
  • Trim color
  • Finished or unfinished interiors

It can be difficult to ballpark your structure, as every structure is somewhat custom as you choose the features and options you want. But if you give us the size and style you’re looking at, we can at least provide a ballpark “starting price” for your building. Delivery and installation will vary depending on building size and your location. Feel free to call us for that starting price estimate at our toll free number (877-272-7252) or direct line (717-354-8327) during normal business hours.

Yes. We’ve installed pull-down and retractable privacy screens and bug screens on pavilions and pergolas, and we’re happy to customize your structure to best fit your needs. Give us a call at 877-272-7252 for more information on screens available for our pavilions, pergolas, and gazebos.

Maybe. This depends on many factors, including but not limited to:

  • Your township rules
  • The type of building (accessory dwelling/temporary or permanent building)
  • The size and height of the building

If you want your building to be as durable, stable and long-lasting as possible, yes, you should place it on some sort of foundation. However, there are many different types of foundation.

For example, our pool houses and pavilions are often installed over preexisting pool hardscaping or stamped concrete. Our garages usually receive a cement slab foundation, or some variation of cement. Smaller sheds and pool houses (usually those delivered fully built) will usually use a simple gravel bed, which helps with drainage and stability of the structure.

We do not offer financing ourselves, but we do recommend checking with your bank or credit union regarding home improvement loans to fund your new structure if needed. We have partnered with LightStream, a leading financial services provider. Learn more about our financing and payment options here.

Delivery & Installation

Delivery and installation time for your outdoor structure will vary depending on the time of year you place your order and other factors. Homestead Structures is busiest during the spring and summer months, so it may take longer until your pergola, pavilion, or pool house is up and ready to use. It may take anywhere from a few weeks to a few months once your design is finalized and materials ordered. So, the sooner you start the process, the sooner we can have your dream structure built.  Contact us today to get started.

Yes, many of our smaller buildings, such as sheds under 16' and Siesta Poolside Bars are built in our shop and delivered fully assembled to your prepared site.

Yes, most of our larger pool houses, garages and pavilions are build on-site at your location by our experienced field crews. Your building kit is precut and planned at our manufacturing shop, making it more efficient (and less messy) for our crews to build your new structure before your eyes.

The time it takes to build on-site will depend on how complex and custom your structure is. The more features and upgrades, the more special subcontractors we need, the longer your structure takes.

Our crews try to show up at first light and often will work till dusk in order to move your project along. Some jobs wrap in a few days, others in several weeks. Our goal is to get your job done as efficiently as we can, without sacrificing the quality craftsmanship we've become known for.

Yes, we can! One of our favorite tasks is designing custom interiors for new and existing pool houses. We often create pool houses with lofts, bathrooms, and even indoor and outdoor kitchens. If you already have a structure you want to finish, we are happy to help you enhance your space.

Yes, you can. Once we have an understanding of what type of structure and style you want for your backyard, our in-house designer creates a complimentary virtual mockup of your project. We draft digital images of pool houses, pavilions, pergolas, and garages in order to ensure that we design and build exactly what you are looking for to liven up your outdoor space.

DuraTemp is similar to T-111, a type of panel siding manufactured by Roseburg, with a strong plywood veneer inner core that is made of western softwood veneer and a water resistant phenolic resin,  and a tough hardboard surface face that won’t split, crack or check. It is visually appealing and a more cost-effective siding option for homeowners looking to match their new pool houses, sheds, and garages with their homes. It’s also made from real wood, so it is an environmentally friendly renewable resource.

LP Smartside® lap siding is a horizontal siding material with a cedar texture finish that we use on many of our pool houses and garages. This unique finish enhances the look and feel of your structure and nicely compliments cedar shake and asphalt shingle roofing materials. LP lap siding comes in a variety of colors. We often encourage our customers to choose LP lap siding, because its composition of treated wood strands and resin binder reinforces the material’s strength, increasing durability and your structure’s overall longevity.

Whether you want a standard 3’ door, double doors, bifold doors, or sliding barn doors, we have a wide variety of pool house and garage doors to choose from. View these options and more here.

We do our best to meet every customer’s unique needs, so we offer a wide variety of roofing shingle, metal roofing, and siding options to match your home as best we can. You can choose from any of these options or contact us to explore the newest additions to our siding and roofing options.

Yes, we do. Send us a message here or call 877-272-7252 for more information on available kits for our popular outdoor structures.

We offer a few main types of rooflines on our outdoor structures. A-frame and hip rooflines are popular choices for our pavilions, pool sheds, and pool houses, and we can work with you on other roofline options, as well.
