As a company of integrity and transparency, we want to make sure you understand every step of the design and build process.  So please allow us to introduce you to The Homestead Way, our step by step process that makes certain you end up with an singularly unique structure perfectly suited to your needs and style.

The Homestead Way - Our Proven Process

We've broken our project process into 6 steps and identified the team member who will be your expert guide for each step. We want you to be 100% in tune with the process feel confident in our work as your project progresses.

  1. The Discovery Phase - our sales team will take the time to learn more about you, your project needs and exactly what you're looking for. This is where we dig into the different building styles and options and begin to determine just what you want in your new Homestead Structure! You'll also be introduced to our company and our proven process, so you can be clear on each step of your project as it progresses.
  2. The Planning Phase - once we have the details of your structure figured out, we'll provide a project quote that includes all the options and extras. This makes it easier to go through and decide if you want anything removed or added. Once the details are finalized and we update the project quote, you'll give us "yes" or a "no". A "yes" moves us on to phase 3!
  3. The Design Phase - your first payment will be due at this point and you will receive the official sales order for your project. The 1st payment is 10% if your project is over $15K or 50% if under $15K. Our expert team of designers will start working on your drawings and design details. You'll receive an estimated lead time as well.
  4. The Finalization Phase - once you approve the drawings and details, you'll sign off on the sales order and drawings and get your permit approved. We can provide whatever is needed for permit approval, including sealed drawings as necessary. At this point, your 2nd payment of 50% is due if your structure is more than $15K. After your 2nd deposit, the lead time countdown begins from material ordering to delivery/installation of your building.
  5. The Scheduling Phase - at this point we will order materials for your structure and get your project in the schedule to be manufactured. A 3rd payment of 30% is due on projects over $15K. At this phase, you'll be transferred from your dedicated sales person to our Operations Director, who will keep your project moving on it's timeline.
  6. The Delivery Phase - Once your structure or kit is built, it's ready to be installed! Most sheds and smaller structures are built in our shop and delivered fully assembled. Larger proejcts and custom builds are built on site by our professional crews from kits prefabbed at our manufacturing facility. Using prefab kits cuts down on time spent on-site and keeps the project tidier than building from scratch at your location! Once the structure is fully installed, your final payment is due - 10% on projects over $15K and 50% on projects under $15K.
